WiT Re-entry Project

Bridge to Freedom
Located in the City of Victorville California, San Bernardino County. An organization receiving women released from jails and prisons giving them a safe environment to live in. Our programs include the "Bridges to Freedom" re-entry modules, strategically designed to inhabit the struggles in this community that people living in poverty are going through, and those who need a second chance with resources, services, and support focused on positive and substantial transformations in their lives. Our goal is to improve the quality of life by advocating on behalf of people living with criminal convictions opening the door for a fair opportunity to get housing, jobs, education, and leadership skills that help develop strengths that lead to powerful life changing experiences. Our focus is also to work with a population of homeless individuals with struggles from all walks of life through our resource center which provides services to Women, Children, Young Adults coming out of Foster Care, and Men who need referrals for help.
BRIDGES TO FREEDOM RE-ENTRY WORKSHOPS
(COPYRIGHT MATERIAL) 2010
Women released from jails and prisons re-enter society with little to no resources. The Women in Transition Re-entry Project places these women in a safe environment to live in. Once in our care, we embrace them-by providing them with the assistance they need to get them back on the right path. We supply them with workshops, materials, and a strong and powerful opportunity to walk positive directions leading to success. One of the ways we do this is through the Bridge to Freedom 12 module program which includes healing in all broken areas in this population. Although these modules were created for an institution holding women inmates by a dedicated team of community leaders, grant writers, educators, and volunteers for Women in Transition, we saw the demand for such a program deep within the heart of our community where people are oppressed due to the lack of support in today's society. Bridges to Freedom is a 12 week, 3 part process designed to prepare people who are struggling in this society after incarceration learn new practices guiding them through the process of finding a secure way of surviving in today's society productively.
